Last week I attended the second stage in my Games Maker training - this time role specific. It was great to start to get to know some of the staff and

volunteers that make up the team I'll be spending a lot of the summer with.
We spent a terrific afternoon learning about the state-of-the-art facilities being provided for the international media that will descend on London and the service we are to deliver.

There is no doubt we will be busy, maybe even busier than I ever experienced during my career at Marks & Spencer, but it will certainly be rewarding and fun too.
As ever we will be entirely dependent on operating as a team and suporting each other, but the people I met were all of a like mind, committed to doing our best to help make the experience of the Olympic Games a memorable one for all the right reasons for our guests from the media.
